POST-TREATMENT AFTERCARE - which is the perfect formula?

70% of good Microblading and Permanent Make Up Results is a proper Post-Treatment Aftercare Routine. But the truth is, there is no one standard aftercare that suits all. The trick lays in understanding the basics about your skin type, wound care and balance.

1. Any skin invasive procedure causes a wound. A superficial one, but still a wound nonetheless.

2. Broken skin will ooze lymph inevitably. It's our body's natural defense mechanism against the environment. Lymph turns into scabs/crusts. Scabs/crusts formed directly where pigment lies freshly deposited will be one of the causes for poor retention.

3. Why not Vaseline?

According to Denno, Petroleum jelly can create the illusion of moisturized, hydrated skin, all the while suffocating your pores. It's water-repellent and not water-soluble, meaning it merely seals the barrier so that moisture does not leave the skin.

4. Why Skin Candy? It's made of natural ingredients and based on bees wax. This allows skin to breathe and hence heal faster and better. It doesn't clog the pores and is an amazing natural moisturizer without being too oily.

As with any wound, Hygiene is key. We will educate you about your skin type, explain to you how to properly wash and care for the treated area post-treatment and will guide you through a healing process every step of the way. Skin Candy is available for purchase, but remember a golden rule about it: LESS IS MORE.

Hopefully this is not too much information and if you have any questions about the healing process or the aftercare that is suitable and advisable for your skin type, please do not hesitate to contact us.
